Henry Haszard (probably born1813; died1872) was a local businessman, member of the Executive Council and Colonial Secretary on Prince Edward Island. George and Simeon (or Simon?) Davies were businessmen in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. These tokens were issued to supplement the lack of small change on Prince Edward Island and help facilitate trade.
