Medal with Offensive des Chars (Tank Offensive), by Pierre A. Morlon, France, 1917-1918. Also known as Chars D'Assaut.
The Saint-Chamond tank, first used in 1917 is depicted with a Fury flying above it brandishing a sword. The tank had no turret, but a long gun in an overhanging front compartment which is depicted on the medal. The long front compartment was prone to dig into the ground. The model was unsuccessful.

Tank crossing a barricaded trench and guarded by Marianne, the national emblem of the French Republic, wielding a sword.
Reverse Description
Laurel wreath surrounding a blank circular inset die.
