Physical Description
Rectangular bronze plaquette. The obverse depicts the tomb of Napoleon I, within a circular space under the dome of Les Invalides in Paris. In the centre, the sarcophagus rests on a plinth, on a circle which is inscribed with the names of Napoleon's military victories. Around the wall are columns, each with a sculpture of Victory. Above the tomb is a cloud bearing cavalry charging into battle, with a leader standing with arms reaching upwards in the centre. Inscription below and artist's signature upper right. The reverse is blank.
