Julus Formula legend (mostly off flan) Pridmore translation: "Struck at Murshidabad in the year 11 of his reign of tranquil prosperity"

Significance
From August 1765 the East India Company controlled all mints in Bengal and used the mint name Murshidabad at both the Murshidabad and Calcutta mints. The Murshidabad mint was closed in 1777 but this coin, struck in the year 1771-1772 could be the product of either mint. The combination of hirji 1185 11 san is not listed by Pridmore.
