Silver denarius struck during the reign of the Emperor Trajan in the period 114 to 117 AD, Ancient Roman Empire. Minted by Rome. Trajan was Consul for the sixth time (COS VI on this coin) and last time in 112 AD. Therefore this coin was produced in the period 112 to 117 AD. The reference to Parthia on the reverse however places production in the period of his Eastern campaigns, 114-117 AD.
