Orichalcum Sestertius struck during the reign of the Emperor Claudius between 41 and 54 AD bearing the countermark NCAPR, Ancient Roman Empire. Minted by Rome. Probably struck in the period 41 to about 50 when the letters P P are thought to have been added to the obverse legend. the countermark NCAPR is believed to have been applied during the reign of the Emperor Nero (less likley, Nerva).
