This coin was part of an extensive issue probably during the Pyrric War and is linked by circulation (find) pattern to another bronze with the reverse legend ROMANO with Minerva/horse head. Crawford comments 'Speculation on exactly when, where and why the issue was produced is not in the present state of knowledge profitable'.
