Significance
Little is known of the Sullan general A. Annius although he is believed to be son and grandson of men who were Consuls. He was given command of troops in Northern Italy in 82 BC and recovered Spain for Sulla in 81 BC. He probably briefly governed both Spains but dissapears from history in 81 BC.
