Summary

Proof six coin set of 50 cent, 20 cent, 10 cent, 5 cent, 2 cent and 1 cent housed in a green plastic wallet. Minted by the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra the 50c coin was a commemorative issue minted for for the Brisbane XII Commonwealth Games in 1982. The reverses were designed by Stuart Devlin. The reverse of the 50 cent coin incorporates the logo designed by Paulo Ferreira.

Physical Description

A six proof coin set - 50 cent, 20 cent, 10 cent, 5 cent, 2 cent and 1 cent housed in a sealed clear plastic container. The fifty cent coin in this set commemorates the Commonwealth Games held in Brisbane in 1982, it features the XII Games symbol surrounded by figures representing some sports played at the Games: Table Tennis, Badminton, Gymnastics, Archery, Volleyball, Wrestling, Swimming, Boxing, Cycling, Weightlifting, Lawn Bowls and shooting. A small printed flyer comes with the set. The set is stored in a mint issue foam plastic protective cover which should be retained.
