All coins bear a crowned head of Elizabeth II facing right wearing perl ear-rings and necklace; around, ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 1988
Reverse Description
Standard types for these denominations:$2 - Aboriginal set against background of Southern Cross; 20 cent - platypus; 10 cent - lyrebird; 5 cent - spiny anteater; 2 cent - frill-neck lizard and 1 cent feather-tail glider. Commemorative reverses for: Dollar - kangaroo in the style of Aboriginal art; fifty cent - sailing ship set against old map of Australia.
