Summary

Bronze One Penny Token, minted by an unknowm British mint. Issued by Brown & Duthie, Ironmongers, New Plymouth, 1866. The token depicts Mt. Egmont giving it it's Maori name, Taranaki. Tokens were demonetised in New Zealand on March 25, 1897.

A round bronze token (31 mm diameter). The piece features the name, address and business of the issuer: Brown & Duthie, Brougham Street, ironmongers. The reverse depicts Mt. Egmont giving it it's Maori name, Taranaki.
