Significance
This is a Proof of Record example of the first issue in the name of Elizabeth II for Malaya and British North Borneo, in 1953 the 5 and 10 cents denominations were issued and in 1954 the 20 and new 50 cents pieces. This coin was supplied to the Melbourne Branch of the Royal Mint from London and then to the National Gallery of Victoria.
