Significance
Dates on the coinage of Jodhpur were indiscriminately used, they often did not relate the the reigns of the ruler named and the Regnal year often bore no relationship to the Hejira year. Maharaja Takhat Singh (1843-1873) who issued this coin was Jodhpur's last ruler to reside in the important Mehrangarh Fort
