Hermes standing facing left with bird on branch in outstreached right hand. The numeral IIII below the bird and above a tripod. Rests left arm on staff. At side the Greek {REGIN}

Rhegium (or Regium; now Reggio) was founded about 720 BC from Chalsis. It is situated on the 'toe' of Italy opposite Messana.
