Hand-embroidered needlebook, circa 1935-1955. It was used and likely made by Mrs Vi Morgan. Vi was a trained dressmaker who lived in South Melbourne from the late 1930s to the 1990s. She raised three children born during World War II, and was widowed shortly after the war.
Physical Description
Light green hand-embroidered needlebook with plastic thimble within. Binding machine sewn, possibly done with treadle machine. Inside book are three separate compartments. Thimble goes into middle one. Pink and white hand embroidered flowers have brown centres, green stems and leaves. Pink loop fastener.
