White leather Bayonet Frog. Used by a soldier in the Victorian Artillery, circa 1890.
Physical Description
White leather. Two pieces of leather stitched along side edges: the loop which passes over the belt, and the front of the frog. A small buff leather strap with silver metal buckle lies across the top of the front for securing the bayonet.

The reverse of the frog is stamped in the centre: symbol of an arrow; W ...?; three intersecting lines. An indistinct maker's mark is stamped on the reverse of the frog at the lower end.
