Tapered section of cast, decorative metal from the Royal Exhibition Building, likely to have been removed during the building's restoration in the late 1980s - early 1990s.

Physical Description

Broken tapered section of cast, decorative metal. It is smooth with a groove down the middle and flares on one side in two places, before tapering to a point. The opposite end that is thicker has a rough edge where it has been broken off. Section may be part of a larger finial-shaped piece. The exposed ends show the metal to be rust-coloured. Remnants of silver paint are on the surface.
