Summary

Booklet of rules for members of the 'Federated Moulders' Metal Union of Australia', dated 18 September 1961. It notes that the organisation was originally established on 26 January 1899.

The Federated Moulders' Metal Union of Australia grew out of the Federated Iron Brass & Steel Moulders' Union of Australasia, which was formed in 1899 through the federation of several state unions. In 1916 the Union registered federally as the Federated Moulders' (Metals) Union of Australasia and in 1930 changed it's name slightly to the Federated Moulders' (Metals) Union of Australia. In 1983 it amalgamated with the Amalgamated Metal Workers' and Shipwrights' Union to form the Amalgamated Metals Foundry & Shipwrights' Union.
