Physical Description
A copper token (28 mm diameter) featuring Liberty seated facing left on a rock surrounded by ocean, she extends an olive branch in her left hand and rests a staff bearing the Cap of Liberty on her right shoulder with the words UNITED STATES around above; and on the reverse, a kangaroo seated on tail in grassy field facing right, around above, MELBOURNE; in exergue in four lines W.J. TAYLOR MEDALLIST TO THE GREAT EXHIBITION 1851.
Obverse Description
