Letter to Zofia Kozuch from AR Downer, Minister for Immigration, advising that her application for naturalization has been approved, dated 19 June 1961. Zofia Antoniszyn was born in 1909 in Czestochowa in Sosnowiec in south west Poland. Displaced by the war, Zofia and her son, Stefan, left Poland in 1947 and went to Germany where they received displaced persons status. She met Antoni Kozuch in a Displaced Persons Camp near Stuttgart. In 1949 Zofia and Stephan migrated to Australia on the General Ballau. They stayed at Bathurst Migrant Camp for a couple of months and then came to Melbourne. In the mid 1950s Zofia met Antoni Kozuch again at the Polish Club in Elizabeth Street Melbourne. They married and had a son Mark.
