Summary
Copy of photograph negative showing view of Queen's Hall at the Institute of Applied Science (Science Museum) in 1968. Prior to 1968, the majority of the Institute's displays were held in Queen's Hall and its overlooking balconies. Exhibition topics included shipping, aviatiion, photography, antibiotics, primary production, bacteriology, road and rail transport and optics. During this year Queen's Hall was taken over by the State Library of Victoria, and the Institute was granted display space in McArthur Hall, Monash Hall and Swinburne Hall.
