Summary

Copy of photograph negative showing the microscope display in Queen's Hall at the Institute of Applied Science (Science Museum), 1967. During this time Queen's Hall featured displays on space research, electrics, transport, engines, photography, atomic physics, radio and television, with the overhead balconies focuing on primary production. As a result of overcrowding, the Institute lost Queen's Hall in 1968, but gained gallery space in Swinburne Hall (formerly the Murdoch Gallery) and elsewhere in the Swanston Street building.
