Proof striking of the 50 Cents, Kwangtung Province, China, no date on coin (1890 - 1908). Minted by Canton. The Canton mint, superintended by Edward Wyon, opened in 1889. It was equiped with modern machinery. It closed in 1931. This coin is part of a proof set collected by the Melbourne Mint.

At centre, a dragon facing, curved around a pearl; around above, KWANG-TUNG PROVINCE; around below, 3 MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS
