View of the modified Duigan biplane flying at Spring Plains, Mia Mia in 1911 flown by John Duigan. The machine has been modified with a rear elevator and four wing-mounted ailerons which can be clearly seen. Only straight flights were completed at Spring Plains as rising ground and trees seen in the background precluded circling flights.
