Physical Description
An silver prize medal (38 mm diameter) featuring an Australian Coat of Arms with Kangaroo and Emu supporters (with the emu's head and neck like an ostrich) together with details of the issuing Society and engraved details of the winner within a wreath of wheat on a shield.
Obverse Description
Australian Coat of Arms with kangaroo and emu supportes above agricultural implements (the emu has its head turned and the neck is done like an ostrich) the shield is quartered and contains a plough, horse bull and wheat-sheaf; around, KYNETON AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION motto on ribbon below shield, GOD GIVETH THE INCREASE; artists name J.S. WYON SC.
Reverse Description
Above shield and between tops of open wheat wreath FOUNDED / 1856 engraved on shield, SECOND PRIZE / to / Mr. C. Dryden / for draught / BROOD MARE / 1860.
