A groat is a fourpence coin. Grueber (p.151) considers these to be Maundy Money but Skingley (p.404-406) seems to only consider them to be Maundy issues if part of a Maundy set - 4d., 3d., 2d. and 1d all of the same date.

Reverse Description
At centre a numeral 4 with a large crown above; around, REX FID DEF BRITANNIARUM the top of the crown divides the legend.
