Summary
Construction of the refreshment rooms known as Lake Lodge on the shore of Lake Wendouree, Ballarat. The building was opened to the public in 1891.
Description of Content
Partially completed brick pavillion under construction for the Refreshment Rooms on the shore of Lake Wendouree opposite the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. The brick walls have been completed but there is no glass in any of the windows and corrugated iron roof is still being installed. Three men in suits are standing on an upstairs attic balcony. Some scaffolding is apparent on the outside of the building. There is a horse-drawn delivery lorry or wagon parked to the left of the building.
