Description of Content
Binding bundles of wattle bark for the local tannery. A rural worker is standing bent over as he attaches a bundle of wattle bark to a frame resting on the ground, which appears to be a primitive form of back pack for carrying the bark out of the forest. Nearby are five neatly tied bundles of bark leaning against a fallen tree trunk. In the background is a semi-cleared area of open forest with numerous small dead trees and saplings lying on the ground against the hillside - possibly reflecting destruction by a past bushfire.
