The location where this photograph was taken has not been identified. There have been suggestions by interested members of the public over the years that it may be outside St Aidan's Orphanage Bendigo but the building windows and fencing suggest this is not correct. Eaglehawk Historical Society also confirm (20/8/26) that the location is not Eaglehawk or St Aidan's in Bendigo. The photgrapher is recorded as having a studio in St Arnaud in the Wimmera and has taken photographs in the central Victorian region which may have led to assumptions about the location of this image. Until the exact location can be verified the location details will be recorded as unknown.
