Description of Content
View overlooking a cove on Sydney Harbour, possibly Woolloomooloo Bay or Rushcutters Bay. There is a lone yacht, small single-masted trading vessel like a cutter anchored in the bay with a small dingy moored to its stern. Two other small sailing vessels are moored near the wharves in the background. Some form of land reclaimation work appears to be underway near the foreshore with piles of rock and earth fill heaped on the timber wharves and a derrick crane and horse-drawn trays standing nearby. In the background on the hillside are several terrace houses and larger stately homes in smart garden settings with mature plantings including Norfolk Island Pines.
