Description of Content
View of Darling Harbour (?) or similar inlet on Sydney Harbour. Probably taken looking east or north-east. In the foreground are large timber logs beached on the foreshore and in the middle distance is a small rocky point, while in the background on the far side of the bay is what appears to be a long timber wharf, where a solitary sailing vessel is tied up. In the background on the sloping hillside are rows of terrace houses, tall brick chimneys, warehouses and possibly mills or other industrial buildings. There is an arch stone masonry bridge behind the wharves near the rear right-hand corner and an unusual high arched roofed building near the rear left-hand corner of the image.
