Description of Content
Main Street, Rainbow, Victoria. There is a plantation in the middle of the street. Shops on the other side of the street include: J.L. Wishart, watchmaker and jeweler; A.G. Strauss, general store and West's, butcher shop. The Wishart store incorporated two shops, the jewelers [at right below the sign] and a drapery [at left below the sign]. A sausage making factory was at the rear of West's store, next to which is a laneway. On the other side of the lane is Congoleon's cafe. The two storey building with the veranda is the Middle pub, and the National Bank is between that and A.C. Strauss.
