This image shows Hallett Thomas, the donor's father, dressed in an American Indian outfit, which was lent to him by the Rhodes Motorbike Company, Melbourne, to wear in a promotional procession, no doubt riding an Indian brand motorbike. He is pictured with his dog, Barney, and another dog, in a vineyard.
This photograph is from a set of 81 images mainly depicting life in and around Mildura in the 1920s and 1930s. They were donated by Donnie Byrne, whose ancestors settled in Mildura in 1880s.
They are part of the Biggest Family Album collection of images comprising approximately 10,000 negatives documenting life in rural and regional Victoria dating from the 1890s to the 1940s.
