An Armistice Day parade by the children of the Duntroon public school at the Royal Military College, Duntroon.
Duntroon School was established in 1915 and closed in 1970. It operated out of different buildings on the Royal Military College site over time, including the former isolation ward and the old dispensary. The building depicted in this photo may be one of the school buildings or an administrative building.
Description of Content
Parade of young children, some barefoot, some carrying kerosene tins (or similar) which they are using as drums. Several carry flags and all are wearing hats, many of a military style such as slouch hats, peaked caps and pith helmets. They walk past a wooden building with verandah.
