The King standing facing in a ship which is decorated with a rose and has a banner inscribed E flying at the stern. The King is crowned and wearing armour, he holds a sword and a shield quartered with the arms of England and France; around, EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRAN DNS IB
Reverse Description
At the centre a rose radiate over a floriated cross with a lis at the end of each arm, in each angle, a lion passant, guardant below a crown; all within a tressure of eight arches; around, (crown) IHC AVT TRANSIENS PER MEDIVM ILLORV IBAT (translation: but Jesus passing through the midst of them went His way; from Luke iv, 30).
