Description of Content
A young woman and man, Nell Wood (at left) and Bill Pedler (at right), dressed in bathing costumes standing in front of a wooden tank stand on a farm property at Ginquim, near Mildura, in the far north-west of Victoria. Behind the couple is a hand-operated reciprocating piston pump, connected by a metal pipe to a corrugated iron water tank onto of the stand. The pump drew water from a nearby dam, with the water then being feed by gravity from the tank to various locations on the farm. In the background are remnants of cleared mallee scrub to the left, with some rough bush buildings sheltered behind a log fence. In the right background several draught horses are standing watching.
