Originally built in 1912-1913, in the mid 1980s Solomon's Building became part of the Market Square shopping development, with only the facade preserved.
Description of Content
The streetscape shows pedestrians, trams and motor cars. The cars are parked along the street in front of Solomon's Building. A bicycle is visible in the mid-ground of the image, crossing the tram lines. The tram lines curve to the right of the image in the foreground, and a tram is stopped at the tram stop approaching the corner.

This image was originally described as Ryrie Street, Geelong but has since been amended to Moorabool Street viewed from Malop Street, as suggested by a member of the public and as indicated by the Solomon's Building facade. -
