Description of Content
View of the gold mining and farming township of Dargo in Gippsland, Victoria, looking towards the south east. In the foreground is the weatherboard Police Station with horse paddock and weatherboard lockup to the nearside. On the far side of the dirt road is a large weatherboard hotel building on the corner with verandahs on both frontages and a small weatherboard cottage opposite. In the background are alluvial flats along the Dargo River. This photograph was possibly taken at the same time as MM 4726, which shows a similar view and the words 'BRIDGE HOTEL' on the sign at the corner of the large building.
