Six coin set of $2, $1, 50 cent, 20 cent, 10 cent and 5 cent housed in a sealed clear plastic container which is mounted in a blue foulder issued to commemorate the centenary of Federation. This set includes a colourized dollar and fifty cent coin.

Physical Description

An six coin set of $2, $1, 50 cent, 20 cent, 10 cent and 5 cent housed in an ultrasonically sealed clear styrene plastic container which is mounted in a blue foulder. The reverse types are standard for each denomination except the dollar and fifty cent coins. The dollar features a simplified map of Australia in blue ink with the Federation Star in red in the field to right with the legend: CENTENARY OF 1901 2001 ONE DOLLAR FEDERATION. The fifty cent has a coloured set of Australian Arms set on a meatt background over a highly polished exergue containing the denomination numerals 50. All coins are struck with mirror fields and matt relief. The set is stored in a mint issue cardboard box with a printed pamphlet all of which should be retained.

Obverse Description

All coins bear a head of Elizabeth II crowned and wearing pearl ear-ring and necklace facing right; around, ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2001; beneath the neck truncation the artist's initials IRB (Ian Rank-Broadley)

Reverse Description

The reverse types are standard for each denomination except the dollar and fifty cent coins.
