Gold plated copy of Adelaide Assay Office ingot type 5 from the example in the British Museum collection (formerly in the Nobleman Collection).
The obverse markings state that (the original) ingot was 23 1/8 carats and weighed 5 dwt 8 gr which gave it the equivalent in 22 carat gold of 5 dwt 14 gr.
Physical Description
A gold plated electrotype copy of an Adelaide Assay Office ingot. Roughly rectangular in shape with circular left hand side. The reverse is engraved ELECTRO.
