Summary
Decorations, consisting of a female dancers in the style of aboriginal rock art, above the intersection of Bourke and Russell Streets in the CBD during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. A number of office building can be seen in the background, including the Russell Street headquarters of the Victorian Police Force.
One of a set of 147 35mm Kodachrome slides donated to the Museum in 1987. The images are all taken during the Olympic Games held in Melbourne in November and December, 1956.
