Two male Australian athletes posing in uniform at the Olympic Village in Heidelbery during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games.The man on the right is holding an Olympic souvenir boomerang, while the young man on the left is 14 year old swimmer John Konrads, who was a reserve on the team during these games and didn't compete.
One of a set of 147 35mm Kodachrome tranparencie slides donated to the Museum in 1987. The images are all taken during the Olympic Games held in Melbourne in November and December, 1956.
