This set was presented to Sir R. Muldoon, Prime Minister of New Zealand.
Physical Description
A six coin set of 50 cent, 20 cent, 10 cent, 5 cent, 2 cent and 1 cent housed in a blue VIP wallet. A printed card insert gives details of the wildlife depicted on the coins and the names of the artists responsible for the obverse (Arnold Machin) and various reverse designs (Stuart Devlin) 50 cent silver (80%), 20 to 5 cent Cupro-Nickel; 2 and 1 cent Bronze.

Reverse Description
Standard types for each denomination: 50 cent - Australian Arms; 20 cent - platypus; 10 cent - lyrebird; 5 cent - spiny anteater; 2 cent - frill-neck lizard and 1 cent feather-tail glider

Significance
This was the first year of decimal coinage in Australia. This VIP set was one of 520 distributed in 1966, this example was given to the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Sir Robert Muldoon.
