Description of Content
Mealtime in a naturalists camp, the box of eggs in the foreground is thought to be mutton bird eggs. Around the area of Bass Strait these are primarily the Short-tailed Shearwater Puffinus tenuirostris an extremely numerous species generally laying a single egg within a short tunnelled nest hole.
