A slide used to educate the public in bush fire awareness. The image consists of a man fishing from within a lake, wearing a bue hat and carring a bag around his shoulder. There are handpainted trees in the background. A message accross the image from the Forestry Division, State Electricity Commission of Victoria, reads 'Preserve Scenes like this! Do all you can to PREVENT BUSH FIRES'.
Physical Description
Standard format (3¼ x 3¼ inch square) lantern slide, comprising two sheets of glass sandwiched together and sealed with adhesive paper binding tape around edge. The hand tinted black & white photographic image is printed the back of the front glass, protected by a cover sheet to prevent it being scratched.
