Summary
Dinar coin issued by the Fatimid Caliphate. Struck at the Cairo (Misr) mint. As Shi'ites, the Fatamid's were theologically and politically opposed to the Sunni rule of the Abbasids in Baghdad. Their coins show this in their design of concentric circles with inscriptions referring to their beliefs.
