Description of Content
Harcourt Railway Station on the Melbourne-Bendigo Line, circa 1900. X-class 0-6-0 type steam locomotive No.355 is at the platform (hauling a passenger or goods train). The crowd of passengers waits on the platform in the middle distance including women in hats and long dresses and men with boater hats and bowlers. Most of the people appear to be wearing their Sunday best. On the lefthand side a lone goods van and tripod derrick crane is visible behind the picket fence of the down platform.
