In Egypt, the Nile Floods deposit nutrients on the topsoil and so the soil does not have to be turned. Instead, an Egyptian plough serves only to break up the topsoil before sowing. Traditionally the plough is tied to the horns of cattle, which makes the combination of Camel and Donkey quite unique. This is the same style of plough as used in Ancient Egypt.
