Image depicting three servicemen, one of whom is a Sergeant Johnstone, examining something within the army camp. Acting Sergeant Robert Leonard Wilcox Johnstone enlisted on October 1, 1914 and was assigned to the 5th Light Horse Regiment, C Squadron. Sergeant Johnstone was promoted to Lieutenant on October 28, 1915. He was wounded in November 1915 and, following a further wounding and illness, returned to Australia on February 21, 1916 after being declared medically unfit for duty.
