Image depicting a collection of tethered, untacked horses in the desert belonging to the C Squadron. Amongst the horses are some servicemen who attending to the horses. Horses were tethered in camp by both head and heel ropes between long ropes called picket lines. Their saddles and other tack were stored at the front of the horses.
Description of Content
Image depicting a large group of tethered, untacked horses in the desert arranged into two lines all with feed bags. Amongst the horses are two servicemen. One of the servicemen is facing away from the camera apparently walking between two of the horses. The other serviceman, who stands near the head of one of the horses, is facing the camera and patting the horse behind him on the neck.
